What is an Artist?

An Artist in the Audicient platform represents a musician, band, or creator who distributes their music to various digital streaming platforms (DSPs) such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Audiomack. Each artist has a unique identity within the system to ensure that music deliveries are correctly assigned to the right profiles on these platforms.

Artist Representation

Each artist entry contains essential details, including:

• Name – The official name that appears on DSPs.

• Image ID (optional) – A profile image associated with the artist.

• Created At – The timestamp indicating when the artist was added to the system.

• DSP Identifiers – These IDs ensure that music deliveries reach the correct artist profile on each platform:

  • Spotify ID – The unique identifier for the artist on Spotify.

  • Apple ID – The unique identifier for the artist on Apple Music.

  • Audiomack ID – The unique identifier for the artist on Audiomack.
